"The project was a collaborative freelance endeavour carried out as part of the BA Graphic Communications Real Job scheme. Its primary goal was to develop an engaging and interactive digital platform. This platform aimed to highlight the remarkable skills and achievements of the graduating designers from the University of Reading."

The primary objective was to design a visually captivating and user-friendly website that would effectively highlight the diverse range of work produced by the graduating students from the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading. By creating a digital platform, we aimed to provide a comprehensive and engaging showcase for graduating designers, allowing their creativity and skills to be celebrated and appreciated by a wider audience. The project emphasised the importance of creating a compelling online presence to promote the designers' portfolios, establish their professional identities, and pave the way for their future success in the design industry.
What made this project truly unique and memorable was the requirement to design the website using WordPress. As someone who had prior experience working with other CMS platforms, I found WordPress to be an incredibly advanced and powerful toolset. This presented me with an opportunity to expand my skills and delve deeper into the intricacies of WordPress, exploring its capabilities and unlocking new possibilities in website design. Navigating the more advanced features of WordPress challenged me to push my boundaries and adapt my design approach to leverage the platform's full potential. It was a valuable learning experience that allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of WordPress as a versatile CMS and further enhance my proficiency in web design.
